Ghastly Ghosts and Ghoulish Graveyards
This Halloween, experience a side to Edinburgh you may have never even thought about. This tour will cause delight and fright as you follow your guide as you travel back through several centuries of wicked history. Over 90 minutes you’ll discover the stories of the lower half of the Royal Mile and you’ll visit the Canongate Kirkyard and the Old Calton Burial Ground. It’s said that Halloween is when the spirits cross over from their realm to ours and many of them have secrets they would much rather were left unsaid.
These graveyards are rarely visited and are seemingly quiet. But who really knows which monsters lay buried right beneath your feet, and are they truly resting in peace? Join us, if you’re brave enough!
Evening of Ghosts and Ghouls
The night begins with a walking tour of the darker closes and wynds of Edinburgh, before journeying into the haunted Blair Street Underground Vaults. Finally, we’ll retire to a candlelit cellar for a dram of Scottish whisky and an evening of storytelling.
Full evening experience, with a complimentary drink
Children over 5 years of age are very welcome– but you’ll need to judge if they’re up to it! Tours start at 7, 8 or 9pm. Other tours are available, just take a look at the website.
