Remember, remember the 5th of November!
Everyone knows the famous line, well in Edinburgh and the Lothians it’s the 3rd and 4th of November too, as the city gears up for bonfire weekend. There are lots of displays taking place all over the capital but we wanted to let you know about our top 5! On 3rd November, Hopetoun House will be hosting “The Greatest Firework Show on Earth” featuring pre-show entertainment, food and drink ahead of the firework display itself held against the backdrop of the house itself. Tickets cost £15, starting at 4pm and finishing around 8pm.
Two firework displays organised by Scottish Love in Action will be taking place on 4th November at George Watson’s Rugby Ground. The Blue Show takes place from 4pm, whilst the Red Show kicks off from 6.30pm. Tickets start from £8, but family tickets are available.
Annual firework display hosted by East Lothian Council, taking place at Fisherrow Links on 4th November. The fireworks start at 7pm and any money raised will be donated to East Lothian Foodbank and Musselburgh Basics Bank. Musselburgh is easily accessible from Edinburgh by both bus and rail for those not wanting to drive.
Returning once again for 2018 on 3rd November. This family-friendly event kicks off with a torchlight procession starting from the Corn Exchange at 6.30pm before the bonfire is lit at 7pm. Fireworks start from 7.45pm and ending at about 8.30pm. Haddington is only about a 30 minute drive from Edinburgh.
Annual firework display taking place at Linlithgow Rugby Club on 3rd November. All proceeds raise are reinvested in youth and community sports. The clubhouse and bar are open and food and drink are available. The display begins at 7.30pm. Tickets from £4 to £7 (family tickets available).
